OSTER PIPE THREADER Model 552A

I have a Oster 552A pipe threading machine. This machine has not been used in years but works as it should. The machine comes with one quick change threading and reaming head. It does have the oiler built in to it. I have not tested that part because I don't really want to fill the reservoir with oil. The motor is 115 volt and it functions in forward and reverse as it should.

The very tip of the swich is broken off but the switch functions as it should. I was worried about getting a shock if your hands are sweaty and flipping the switch but that didn't happen.

The stand to the machine is made in a peculiar way. It was meant to hold boxes or trays and was built to accomodate the operator. I started to cut the shelving out from under the stand to make it neater looking. For all I know, someone knows what it is for. This machine is solid and nice and still very useable. It is a cheap way to get into pipe threading. This machine has surface rust from our humidity but will clean up and with some paint would look very nice. I can also load this item on anything you send the way. I have the room to handle trucks. I estimate this machine weighs 350 lbs. I will wait on fastening it down.
